THE FIRST MONCEAU EVER 

The shape of the Louis Vuitton Monceau, the Monogram Canvas, the shoulder strap and of course the gold-plated hardware, that is what makes the bag. In addition to the elegant look, the Monceau has a classic LV S-lock, a very attractive design element that keeps all your belongings safe. The Louis Vuitton Monceau is also available in Damier Ebene Canvas. This print is more unique, partly because less have been produced. This is because the Monogram Canvas variant is more popular, which is actually most of the times the case with Louis Vuitton bags.

You can use this vintage beauty when you go out or for work. The Monceau literally fits with any outfit! The first version of Louis Vuitton Monceau was first released in 1986. It has a structured frame and is divided into two compartments. The bag has a long shoulder strap and short top handle, so you can hold it in your hand, on the wrist or on the shoulder. This Louis Vuitton Monceau Monogram is definitely one of our favorite bags!

Fun fact: You can remove or adjust the strap whenever you want. This makes the bag very easy and convenient to carry. Moreover, it makes every outfit different.

NEW INTRODUCTION MONCEAU 

The bag was re-introduced in the spring of 2013, it is a miniature version of the first Monceau. In 2013 the bag was named: Louis Vuitton Monceau BB. Where the 1986 Monceau came with Monogram Canvas, the new one comes with Epi leather or Vernis leather. Louis Vuitton did this to keep up with the increasing sophistication of customers. Especially for the Asian market. How smart?! 

The shape of the bag probably looks familiar. Many luxury designer brands have a bag that looks like Monceau. They used the shape as inspiration for new bag designs.

THE 2021 MONCEAU 

The Monceau is still available in stores, but currently only in one version. This is the Neo Monceau, the bag has the same shape as the Monceau BB but is a different version. It is a colorful and feminine bag that you can wear with everyday, casual or city-chic outfits. This bag came on the market in the winter of 2019. The Neo Monceau enriches the range of Louis Vuitton handbags with an original "school bag" satchel shape. A distinctive lock keeps the content safe, but you can easily access it.
