Now that autumn has really started and summer is really over, the autumn collections are eager to make their entrance. This includes the fall 2024 collection from Hermès. With great new colour combinations and a brand new collection, this is a must-see show.

The collection

The collection has a number of colors that come in multiple models. You can think of the colours burgundy red, brown, beige and gray. These are the autumn and winter colors of the FW24 collection. As far as we are concerned, these are the perfect fall and winter colors and also good to combine
with each other. But that's not all, there are also two statement colours that colour the dark catwalk. Namely the bright colours red and yellow. Two striking colors for an autumn and winter collection, but these colours were not chosen at random. In fact, it fit well with the theme of the show.

Theme

New York-based Nadege Vanhee has been the designer for Hermès for 10 years. She has already made quite a name for herself during her beautiful collections in recent years. The show was inspired by two sports that involve racing namely, horseback riding and motorcycles. The silhouette of the show is then of course fitted. Hence also the colours red and yellow. These are colours often seen in racing sports. The theme is also well reflected in the details in both the collection and accessories.

The fall 2024 collection for Hermès, which they call Rider, includes turtlenecks with rows of metal rivets inspired by motorcycle jackets. The inspiration on motorcycle jackets can also be seen in the many lines of stitching. The burgundy trench coats with tight belts and high-waisted riding pants all in leather can also be traced back to equestrian sports.

Also in the accessories are the details that you see a lot in the clothes. For example, you see many metal details and many bags are made of leather. Most bags are made in neutral colours such as, brown, black, beige and burgundy red. And there are some famous models seen on the catwalk such as the Birkin bag one of the most famous bags of hermes is seen a number of times in different
colours. There are also some of smaller bags and clutches to see on the runway. Often with the silver metal details again.
